Iyana’s influences include Erykah Badu, Missy Elliott, Ravyn Lenae, (((O))), & Tierra Whack. Another inspiration of hers is her father, a musician who toured with bands like Roy Ayers Ubiquity and Big Mountain, and helped shape her love for music.

Iyana has performed at venues such as the Moroccan Lounge, Hotel Café, and Breaking Sound at Adults Only, and has collaborated with artists like Grammy-nominated LIKE, Your Grandparents, and Seiji Oda.
